"If there was such as thing as a hair whisperer, Caroline Whitney would claim the title. She has a natural affinity for taming any unruly mane, mine included. Caroline takes pride in her craft and it shows in the results she consistently provides. I feel completely comfortable leaving my hair in her hands. "I have been given my life back (or at least 15 minutes every morning). I had the Coppola Keratin Complex treatment to tame my wild curls and frizz and it is a complete miracle. Caroline is a genious. And quite fun to spend 3 1/2 hours with as well. I am totally addicted to this. It made my hair 20 years younger...and who doesn't want that."

"The Bladerunner is one of the nicest salons on the Central Coast. I have seen Melissa on and off for the last three years. I don't live in the area anymore which is why I only see her when I'm in town. Every time she cuts/colors my hair I am always happy with the result. Not only is she an excellent stylist but she is fun and loving. I always have a good time when I see Melissa. It's a nice break from my busy life. I leave with a great style, big smile and I feel well taken care of. The front desk girls are not always the most attentive or friendly but Melissa makes up for it. I highly recommend her as a stylist."

"Walking in off the street blindly putting all power into whatever random stylist is available RARELY turns out great... or even good. It's like haircut Russian Roulette.

I chanced it and ended up with Jon. He did a great job, was creative but kept it professional (my only request). I've never been so instantly impressed with a haircut.

First your spa is really beautiful and calming. Second, Jennifer was wonderful, skilled, and knowledgeable. I recommended her to a friend, who now has her own appointment.

"I love SLO and I visit too little--maybe once every year or two, and usually in passing on the way to someplace further south. I would live here if I could find a good job. I think I just have to look harder!

This time I was on a mission just for this town that I love. My first stop after the 4 hour drive down was to Bladerunner.

I got a nice 1-hr. deep tissue massage and felt really good afterwards. Vincent used just the right pressure so I wasn't wincing when he worked on the knots. I don't believe in having to be in total pain to have things worked out.

Afterwards, I was pampered by Aimee, who gave me a nice pedicure. At first I was skeptical of the quality, because I've had bad experiences with non-Vietnamese nail shops. But she didn't disappoint me--my polish and toes still look great, and I was completely relaxed and could take my time letting them dry, etc. She and I talked a bit and she was really sweet. She even recommended some job sites for me to check out. "

"The Bladerunner Salon is very nice and spacious. The spa area is separate from the salon with its own little waiting room that is quiet. I feel that they have one of the best day spas on the Central Coast! I have been coming to the Bladerunner for my brazilian bikini waxings and I can recommend both Nora and Jennifer. Between both of them they offer appointments 7 days a week and I can usually get an appointment within a couple of days. They do a very good job and are fast!"
